I will never forget the New Year’s ball that we attended. All kinds of people and just about everyone who is anyone in our city was there to attend. After all, welcoming the year twenty ten is a big event. They say, the year of the tiger is a year to welcome, bringing in lots of good cheer and good fortune, and what better way to welcome the year with a great big party.
When we received the invitation, we took pains to prepare. This would be a good chance for my husband to meet several people, and being in the socio-civic group, it would be a good opportunity to be able to talk with people who would be able to make a change and help in pushing all these work and activities for the less fortunate.
With several big names attending, I made sure I was going to attend in style. So I chose a le gala Tony Bowls attire.
When I visited their site, I saw so many glamorous gowns that I wanted to be seen wearing. I had to start with the color motif first.
What would look good in me?
Your usual black elegant gown?
Or should I choose the color that would be the color of the year twenty ten?
Several gowns were on display and I was really excited in picking at each gown that would look best in me. The prices were quite affordable as well. It was a really good choice, in my opinion.
I not only wowed my husband with my attire, but we had a great time during the party.

The day after Thanksgiving is commonly referred to as “Black Friday”. This day is traditionally one of the busiest shopping days of the years and for many signifies the first day of Christmas shopping. Likewise consumers expect significant sales to go along with the large crowds which flock to stores.
For many shopping on the day after Thanksgiving is a tradition which wouldn’t be missed for the world. These individuals look forward to the sales and starting their shopping as a way to get into the Christmas spirit. These individuals can be counted on to arrive before the malls and shopping centers even open to get a great parking spot, to make multiple trips to their cars to drop off packages before returning to the shopping area to make more purchases and to almost literally shop until they drop. These are the individuals retailers count on each year to boost their quarterly earnings and to help them report profitability for the year.
Those who enjoy Christmas shopping on the day after Thanksgiving feel this way for a number of different reasons. Some enjoy shopping on this day for the tremendous sales which are inevitable. Still others enjoy shopping on this day because they like to take things one season as a time and figure now that Thanksgiving is over; it is time to start focusing on Christmas. There are even others who like shopping on this day for the excellent people watching opportunity the day presents. It is these individuals who have simply always started their Christmas shopping on this day out of habit. Their parents probably started Christmas shopping the day after Thanksgiving and they simply learned this is the day to start Christmas shopping. They will also likely pass on the habit to their own children.
Conversely there are other shoppers who absolutely refuse to step foot inside a mall or shopping center on the day after Thanksgiving. For these shoppers trying to get any shopping done on this day is near impossible. They are willing to sacrifice the opportunity to buy some items as gifts at excellent sale prices just to avoid the throng of shoppers who swarm the stores on this one particular day. However, it is important to not that just because these shoppers avoid shopping areas on the day after Thanksgiving does not mean they don’t enjoy great sale prices on the Christmas gifts they purchase. These shoppers may take advantage of sales throughout the year to accomplish their Christmas shopping within their set budget.
There are still others who typically do not do any shopping on the day after Thanksgiving but these individuals do not necessarily avoid the malls and shopping areas on this day either. For these people just walking around and experiencing the excitement around them helps to put them into the holiday spirit.
Whether you are an early Christmas shopper, a last minute Christmas shopper or just a people watcher, you likely understand it is appropriate to expect large crowds in malls and shopping centers on the day after Thanksgiving. If you are decorating your home for the holidays on a budget, there are so many possibilities to make your home look gorgeous and festive using inexpensive items. One great items to use to spruce up your home for Christmas is pines cones. In many places, you can get pine cones for free right from your own back yard. If you do not live near an area where you would have access to free pine cones, they can be purchased inexpensively from most any craft store. Decorating your home with holiday crafts made from pine cones are very simple to do and are even an easy enough project for children to participate.
Pine cones can be used for ornaments for the Christmas tree. One simple project for children and adults alike is to decorate the pine cone with glue and glitter. Tie a string to the cone and hang on the tree.
Another beautiful project is to paint the pine cone with a brush or spray paint in holiday colors. Glitter can also be sprinkled on the cone before the paint dries to give it a frosted, sparkly look. The painted cones can be used for tree ornaments with string or ribbon added to hang on the tree. Another way to use the painted cones is as a centerpiece on your coffee table or dining room table. Place the painted cones in a bowl or basket and add some greenery too, if desired.
Decorated or natural, plain pine cones can also be added to wreaths for a wonderful look. Pine cones added to garland and ribbons on a fireplace mantle give a simple but elegant look to your holiday decor.
Christmas decorating on a budget does not need to be skimpy, cheap or unflattering. By using your creativity and a small amount of inexpensive supplies, you can decorate your home beautifully and receive many compliments from your family and holiday guests.
There are many advantages to buying products wholesale or from liquidation suppliers. Regardless of whether you are an individual buyer or a business looking for closeouts, you are guaranteed great discounts and deals.
If you are looking for products that are no longer available in regular stores, there is a high chance that you will find a closeouts supplier who has them available. This is because when the items were discontinued from production or went out of season, liquidations suppliers are the ones most likely to have bought them in bulk from the retail stores that stopped stocking them. This is a great potential opportunity for you.
Since you are stepping over the middleman retailer, you can take advantage of great savings by cutting short the chain of supply that builds up the retail price of a majority of products in the market. A great benefit of wholesale and closeout goods is that they are much more affordable whether you intend them for personal use or for business purposes.
Purchasing products in bulk from a wholesaler helps you lower transportation costs and other handling fees you would probably incur when dealing with a retail store or other type of dealer. Many wholesalers have solid transportation agreements and will not pass on your goods to third parties that would risk the goods being damaged.
If you are a businessman looking to open up a business, buying goods wholesale is a great way to lower your startup costs. Finding a good supplier of wholesale and closeout products will be a great thing for your business, especially in its delicate first months.
You can buy “out of season” goods from a liquidations or closeouts supplier at next to nothing, hold them until the season comes around again, and then resell them at regular pricing. Christmas lights and decorations are good examples of this process.
After doing business with a wholesaler for some time, you will begin to build a good business relationship that will work to your advantage when it comes to renegotiating your terms. They may give you a longer period of time to make payments or give you more flexible payment options that are unavailable with most retailers. This gives you more options and leeway in operating your business.
However, there are some things that you should keep a keen eye out for. Always make sure you are dealing with a legitimate company that offers you good service terms on all the products that they sell. A good company should have product catalogues with detailed descriptions of all their goods so that you can be very specific when placing orders to avoid receiving deliveries of products you didn’t want or ask for. Check on whether or not a guarantee is available for the products you are buying. Some products come with guarantees in case of damage or other problems but not all products do. You should know whether the company would assist you if there were any hitches during shipment and whether or not they will pay for lost goods.
It is difficult to find a good wholesale company to do long term business with, but the rewards are great when you do find a company that is reputable and trustworthy. Not only are you assured of avoiding problems with a good partner but you also stand to save lots of money when you take advantage of wholesale and liquidations pricing.
